Q: Do any of the ferry's to Cape Cod from Boston take cars?
I know that the ferry's to like Martha's Vineyard take cars but if i want to take a ferry from Boston to like Provincetown, do any of them take cars?
A: No :( but I found this great site about getting from here to there without the use of your car if you want to travel around the cape...

I had a couple of minutes and looked up some more

Can I bring my car, motorcycle, moped or motor scooter?
Coast Guard regulations do not allow us to transport engine powered vehicles or gasoline. Our ferries are not equipped to handle automobiles.
Is there any automobile ferry service to Provincetown?
No, the docks and piers in Provincetown can not accommodate automobile ferries.
Q: who convert cars to run on water in boston area?
can any one please tell me who can convert my car to run on water ,i live in boston.ma. as gas price is too high which i cant afford.please write address and tel.# also so i can get it convert as soon as possible. thanks
A: Is it true or just a scam? You cannot run your car on water alone of course!
A cheap and simple installation produces Brown's Gas, also called HHO, which is mixed with the fuel (petrol, gasoline, LPG or diesel) your car is built for.
Some say it is a hoax because they claim the energy you have to put in to produce the gas is more than what comes out when you burn it.
But they do not realize that the mixture is more fuel efficient because the hydrogen gas explodes first and heats up the combustion chamber before the fuel does. This results in an increase in gas mileage of 10 - 50 %
The price of the conversion is quickly recovered, especially when you drive a truck or SUV. Just make sure you follow all the safety instructions and if you are not a mechanic, get some professional help!

Q: looking to buy a used car in Boston...is there a good site to search for all the cars for sale?
A: AUTOTRADER OR CRAIGSLIST.
THE BEST THING TO DO IS ASK AROUND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AS WELL AS AT WORK AND SEE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING.
REMEMBER THAT WORD OF MOUTH IS ALWAYS THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT AROUND.
GOOD LUCK.
Q: If my car is registered in NJ, do i have to pay parking Boston parking tickets?
So since september, I have accumulated about 8 parking tickets in boston. My car is registered in New Jersey, and I will only be living in boston another 3 months. What are the consequences of not paying these tickets?
I am aware that they will tow my car and hold it until these tickets are paid, if they do end up entering my license plate number within the next 3 months. However, this is a risk i am willing to take for these remaining 3 months.
A: Doh.
Q: is there a search engine website where I can search for all used cars in boston?
A: you can go to autotrader.com or cars.com and they have you put in you zip code and you pick how far from that zip code you want to go.
Q: If cars in Boston cause droughts in Kenya, how much more driving will cause Lake Naivasha to dry up?
And what were people in Boston driving during the MWP?
http://www.climateaudit.org/?p=121
A: If your car doesn't is a Prius or has a "save the Earth" bumper sticker on it, it won't effect the lake.
Hummers, Cadillacs, pickups and suvs, all destroy lake Naivasha. Particularly if they have bumper stickers that are "right-wing" in nature.
Really...
Q: What do you do when your in a Boston Car Accident?
Should you contact the police after a car accident?
A: You report it to the police, just like you do anywhere else.

A: Public transportation really is the best overall. The "T" has pretty good coverage on places you might look to live and as long as you line up your stops, it should work out pretty good.
And if you need to get to a few places and don't want to walk some, for the cost of renting a car, you can probably take a cab to several places that you might need to go!
Where in the Boston area are you thinking of living? Maybe that'd be a good question to ask. Though much'll depend on your lifestyle and tolerance for things. :-) Either way, Boston's a great city. Easy to navigate (if you're not driving or trying to find a parking space), pretty open, small enough to walk, and very historic.
Good luck!
Q: Where can I get a parking space for my Car in Boston next week?
I'm looking for somewhere cheap to abandon my car when I get to Boston! I'm only there for a week. Everywhere downtown seems to charge astronomical prices! Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
A: I know that the parking lot under the Boston Common is some of the cheapest parking you can find. However, it depends on the day. Some days are cheaper than others. Interestingly enough, it is cheapest on the weekends where you can usually park all day on a Saturday for $10. I am not 100% positive of the weekday rates. Across from the TD Banknorth Garden there are some lots, and you can park there for somewhat reasonable prices and walk just about everywhere. Sadly, parking in Boston can be rough. Driving around though you'll be able to spot some deals. Be careful though- lots fill up early!!!
PS. Another option would be to park outside the city and take the T in. The lot at the Red Line station Alewife, or the Orange Line Wellington station, are both about $5.00 for the day, and then you can take the train right downtown in a few minutes. (Again, these lots fill in early though) And the T costs about $1.50.
Q: Most poular cars in Boston?
What are the most popular cars in Boston, MA, I have no limit? What are some cars dealerships in/around Boston?
A: Here are some big car dealerships around Boston:
http://www.boston.com/cars/new_car_deals/?p1=Cars_SearchBox_NewDeals
Boch is also a big dealership in the area located in Norwood.
As far as most popular cars in Boston, I would say Ford Explorers, Toyotas, Hondas, Subarus, Saabs. But there are all kinds of cars everywhere and it all depends on the neighborhood. For example, people in Cambridge and some inner-city neighborhoods like to drive Prius, Subaru's, and many small cars while towns outside Boston migh like Ford or GM trucks so it all depends.

Q: What's the quickest way to Boston via car?
My friend and I are taking a road trip to Boston in May and I've been told that the quickest way would be to go through Canada. We're starting in Milwaukee, WI and would either dip down and travel east through Chicago and across and up to Boston or would it truly be quicker to go up through northern Wisconsin, cross the border into Canada and over Canada till we get near Boston, cross back over and into Massachusetts? Passports aren't an issue either. Thanks! :)
A: From Milwaukee -
Go through Chicago, Cleveland, New York I-90 and then on to I-90 Mass Pike to Boston. Straight through the trip is 17-18 hours.
Going through Canada is a bit trickier and longer. Roads are not as stable and the trip itself is longer.
Good Luck!
Q: getting around in boston area without car?
To the kind Boston area residents!:
I'm planning on moving to Boston with a group of friends, and we're gonna try to be in the Greater Boston area. I won't have a car, so I'm gonna use the train and the T. Right now I'm looking for the job, and I'm trying to figure out what towns I could actually work in without a car: is only only Boston/Cambridge, or could I make it to work in, say, Canton or Waltham without a car?
THANKS!
A: Yes, there are commuter rail stations in Waltham and Canton, but without a car, you would need to live walking distance from the stations. (Think in terms of winter in Mass.) Your best bet would be to stick to the cities and towns that are reachable by subway and (non-express) bus service. This still leaves you a great many choices beyond Boston and Cambridge. The South Shore, from Hingham west to Randolph and as far south as Holbrook have regular MBTA service. I live on the South Shore and know it best, but west of Boston to Newton, north to Lynn, Malden, then to Somerville, Medford, Arlington and beyond have regular service. Go to http://mbta.com/ There is a trip planner feature that can assist you in your search for a home near transportation.
Q: Will more cars be set on fire or flipped over in Boston tonight?
A: Probebly, laker fans are sore losers.
Q: Whats the easiest way to travel from Boston to NY besides car?
